shift is wild is an animated comedy about hospital work, plus free notes, study guides, practice questions and small tools for people who work in healthcare. Using the site is free and needs no account.

The episodes are comedy. The notes, study guides and tools are general information for professionals and students. None of it is medical, legal or financial advice for a particular person, and none of it replaces your facility's policy, your licence's rules or the judgement of the clinician in front of the patient.

Our videos and text

The episodes, characters, artwork and writing are ours. You are welcome to watch, share links and send them to a coworker — that is what they are for. Please do not re-upload them as your own or use them in ads. Study guides that quote open textbooks say so on the page, and those quotes keep the textbook's own licence.

What you send us

If you send a question, a comment or a shared sheet, keep it free of anything that identifies a patient. We may decline or remove anything we receive. What we keep and for how long is described in What this site collects.

Our connected accounts

We read our own Instagram, YouTube and TikTok accounts — numbers and the comments left under our videos — to see what works and to reply to people. We reply by hand. Details and how to have a comment removed from what we keep: privacy, our connections.
